Hummer EV Pickup Truck

It would be hard to argue against the premise that GMC’s most exciting model is its all-electric supertruck, the Hummer EV Pickup. For the 2026 model year, it gets additional capability through some software and hardware upgrades. The new King Crab rear-steering mode sharpens low-speed maneuvering and is even available for earlier Hummer EVs via over-the-air updates. Also new this time around is a new level of practicality thanks to standard bidirectional charging, which can be used to run external tools and devices or even to charge another EV. Plus, with the right hardware, it can supply electricity to a home during an outage. GMC has also upgraded the Hummer EV Pickup with revised damper tuning to enhance ride quality.

Beyond that, the Super Cruise system now has Google Maps lane guidance plus a hands-on assist mode that manages centering and speed until hands-free driving. And should you prefer a more striking look, the Carbon Fiber Edition package is now offered for the 3X trim. One thing that hasn’t changed is this vehicle’s stunning acceleration. When it’s equipped with the upgraded battery pack, the Hummer EV Pickup can reach 60 mph from a standstill in a breathtaking 2.8 seconds via the Watts to Freedom system.

Trims and Powertrains

GMC offers two versions of the Hummer EV Pickup: the 2X and 3X. The 2X gets its name from a dual electric motor layout with one drive unit per axle. This configuration provides a GM-estimated output of 570 horsepower and 7,400 lb.-ft. of torque with an estimated maximum range of 318 miles. The 3X adopts a three-motor arrangement featuring dual rear-drive units and a total system output estimated at 1,000 horsepower and 11,500 lb.-ft. of torque. The 3X has a projected range of 312 miles. With the optional 24-module battery pack, the 3X’s output increases to an estimated 1,160 horsepower and 13,000 lb.-ft., while range rises to 363 miles. Peak Level 3/DC fast charging can add about 100 miles in roughly 12 minutes, while Level 2 adds about 30 miles per hour. Access to Tesla’s Supercharger network is possible with an approved adapter. With the necessary equipment, the Hummer EV Pickup’s towing capacity maxes out at 12,000 pounds.

Standard Features and Options

The 2X is set up for open-air driving and electric-truck practicality with the Infinity Roof and removable opaque Sky Panels, four-wheel steering with the CrabWalk system and King Crab mode, adaptive air ride, a powered eTrunk under a power hood, and the MultiPro tailgate. Its other standard equipment includes leather-alternative upholstery, heated and ventilated 12-way power front seats, a heated steering wheel, LED exterior lighting, tri-zone automatic climate control, a driver’s memory system, a digital rearview mirror, an 11-inch driver information display, rear climate controls, proximity keyless entry, remote start, power-folding heated side mirrors, wireless device charging, four USB ports (two per row), and 22-inch aluminum wheels.

The 3X is outfitted similarly to the 2X, but it has the Watts to Freedom launch control program as standard equipment (it’s an option on the 2X). This system is engineered to maximize the powertrain and chassis for peak acceleration. The Carbon Fiber Edition package is an exclusive option for the 3X, adding a Velocity Ember interior theme, an exclusive Magnus Gray Matte exterior, carbon-fiber inserts on the mirror caps and skid plate, exclusive exterior accents, and all-terrain tires on 22-inch carbon-fiber black wheels.

Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology

Advanced safety tech is extensive in the 2026 Hummer EV Pickup. The standard driver-assist systems include enhanced automatic emergency braking (with intersection functionality), front pedestrian and bicyclist braking, side bicyclist alert, lane change alert with side blind-zone alert, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control. Both trims also have rear cross-traffic braking, rear pedestrian alert, semi-autonomous parking, traffic sign recognition, a surround-view camera system, driver attention assist, rear seat reminder, and the Safety Alert Seat. Standard Super Cruise enables hands-free driving on compatible highways. Underlying safety equipment includes six airbags, anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, and a rearview monitor.

Infotainment and Connectivity

A 13.4-inch touchscreen is the centerpiece of the Hummer EV Pickup’s cabin with Google built-in, SiriusXM satellite radio, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi hotspot capability, 5G vehicle connectivity, and access to OnStar services. The platform supports a customizable split-view screen and, via OnStar connectivity, intelligent EV routing plus access to popular apps. Both trims are treated to a Bose sound system with 14 speakers.
