2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer for Sale in Johnston, RI
The all-new Chevrolet Trailblazer is much different from the TrailBlazer (with a capital B) of old, which went out of production in 2009. The 2021 Chevy Trailblazer is a crossover that fills the size gap between the compact Trax and midsized Equinox. It also shows off a unique and aggressive exterior design that – believe it or not – took its inspiration from the Camaro.
Despite its smaller size, the Trailblazer is quite comfortable and spacious, with best-in-class rear seat legroom and plenty of cargo space. It also has vibrant styling with a few unusual paint colors and the availability of a two-tone body/roof look.
Trims and Powertrains
The ’21 Trailblazer is offered in L, LS, LT, Activ, and RS trim levels. All trims except for the Activ have a standard 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine that produces 137 hp; the Activ gets a 155 hp 1.3-liter three-cylinder engine for a tad more zip. Both engines are paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) by default, and front-wheel drive is standard. For greater traction and stability, all-wheel drive is offered for the LS and above. With AWD, the 1.3-liter engine will be issued along with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
Standard and Optional Features
The L gets an on-board Wi-Fi hotspot, 40/60 fold-down rear seats, and a rearview camera system; the LS has a flat-folding front passenger’s seat and floor mats. The LT adds LED fog lights, roof rails, keyless entry, remote start, cruise control, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and heated front seats. The Activ receives a few more athletic touches, like all-terrain tires, a two-tone roof, simulated-leather upholstery, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.
The RS is a lot like the Activ, but it has larger wheels and special red interior accents. A Convenience Package is available for the LT and above to add an auto-dimming rearview mirror, automatic climate control, rear-seat USB charge ports, and a 120-volt power outlet. There’s also a Technology Package for the Activ and RS, which supplies LED headlights, a wireless smartphone charger, and an HD rearview camera. A dual-pane sunroof and a hands-free liftgate are also available for the LT and above through the Sun and Liftgate Package.
Each of the ’21 Trailblazer trims comes with the Chevy Safety Assist suite of driver-assist technologies. This includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, automatic high beams, and a following distance indicator. The LT and above qualify for a Driver Confidence Package, which adds lane change alert with side blind-zone alert, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist; the Technology Package delivers adaptive cruise control.
The L gets an infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming capability, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a four-speaker audio system; the LS comes with a six-speaker audio system. The Convenience Package for the LT and above replaces the 7-inch touchscreen with an 8-inch upgrade, while the Technology Package for the Activ and RS yields Chevy’s Infotainment 3 Plus system with the 8-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a premium Bose audio system, and satellite and HD radio.
