The Sierra EV launches exclusively in the Denali trim, available with two powertrain options: Extended Range and Max Range. The Extended Range produces 645 hp and 785 lb.-ft. of torque and provides an estimated range of 390 miles. Meanwhile, the Max Range upgrade generates 760 hp and 785 lb.-ft. of torque and achieves 460 miles on a full charge. Both versions have a dual-motor e4WD system for exceptional traction and are compatible with 800V DC fast charging, allowing up to 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes. A standard 19.2-kW onboard charger makes at-home Level 2 charging convenient, although not as fast.
The Sierra EV also showcases advanced mechanical features, such as an adaptive air-ride suspension with real-time damping, electronic four-wheel steering with CrabWalk (a standout innovation that allows diagonal movement by turning the rear wheels in sync with the front), and the Max Power mode, which enables the truck to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under 4.5 seconds. Moreover, the Sierra EV Denali comes with the ProGrade trailering system, bundling Hitch View, a trailer brake controller, trailer-tire pressure monitors, a smart trailer integration indicator, trailer camera provisions, and blind-zone steering assist.
The Sierra EV Denali is brimming with functional and stylish attributes. On the exterior, you’ll find a fixed full-glass roof, rain-sensing windshield wipers, LED lights (headlights, fog lights, daytime running lights, and taillights), molded assist steps, deep-tinted glass, heated power-adjustable side mirrors, and a power-opening eTrunk with a spacious weatherproof compartment. It’s also set up with GM’s iconic MultiPro Tailgate and Midgate for optimal cargo versatility, as well as a practical cargo bed featuring a spray-on liner, multiple tie-down points, and built-in power outlets (including one 240V and four 120V options).
The interior of the Sierra EV Denali is attractive and upscale, with premium leatherette upholstery, heated and ventilated power-adjustable front seats with driver’s position memory, heated rear outboard seats, a heated power tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, and ambient lighting. On the tech front, look for a 14-inch multi-color head-up display, an 11-inch driver information center, wireless phone charging, a universal home remote, three power outlets (one 12V and two 120V), and several USB-C charging ports.
GMC has packed the Sierra EV Denali with an extensive suite of advanced safety features. This includes the renowned Super Cruise hands-free driving system, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, forward collision alert with automatic emergency braking, front and rear pedestrian detection, front and side bicyclist detection, rear cross-traffic braking, reverse automatic braking, a surround-view camera, blind-zone steering assist, driver attention assist, a rear seat reminder, and GM’s Safety Alert Seat. Hitch Guidance and Hitch View are also provided to make trailering more effortless.
The centerpiece of the Sierra EV’s infotainment system is its 16.8-inch tablet-style touchscreen with Google built-in, providing direct access to Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play Store. Some additional highlights of this sophisticated setup include navigation, natural voice recognition, SiriusXM satellite radio, a 5G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, an advanced seven-speaker Bose audio system, and Bluetooth hands-free phone connectivity.
