GMC offers the Hummer EV Pickup in two trim packages: 2X and 3X. The 2X has two electric motors (one on each axle) that combine to produce a GMC-estimated 570 horsepower and 7,400 lb.-ft. of torque. It’s rated for a maximum range of 311 miles. The 3X uses three motors (two for the rear wheels) and makes an estimated 1,000 horsepower and 11,500 lb.-ft. of torque. The 3X achieves a maximum range of 318 miles. There’s an optional larger battery for the 3X that extends the range to 381 miles. Regen on Demand (regenerative braking) can be activated by a steering wheel-mounted paddle during braking to capture kinetic energy from the stopping process and convert it to energy for the battery.
GMC reports that a Level 3/DC fast charger can add 100 miles of range to a Hummer EV pickup in as little as 12 minutes. A Level 2/240-volt charger at maximum capacity adds about 30 miles of range per hour. With an approved adapter, the Hummer EV Pickup can be charged at Tesla Supercharger locations. The 2025 Hummer EV Pickup can tow up to 12,000 pounds when it’s properly equipped.
The Hummer EV Pickup’s equipment list reflects many innovative features. The 2X trim includes the Infinity Roof with removable opaque Sky Panels and the CrabWalk four-wheel steering system. Its other standard equipment includes remote start, an adaptive air ride suspension, a power hood (for eTrunk access), a MultiPro tailgate, leather-alternative upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats with 12-way power controls, a heated steering wheel, tri-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry and ignition, a digital rearview mirror, automatic wipers, dual USB ports, wireless charging, a driver’s position memory system, LED exterior lighting, power-folding heated side mirrors, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, and 22-inch aluminum wheels. It also gets a bed view camera, which helps during hitch-up of a gooseneck or fifth wheel trailer as well as giving the driver an overhead view of cargo in the bed.
The 3X trim builds on this foundation by adding the Watts to Freedom launch control system as standard equipment (it’s optional on the 2X). This feature prepares the vehicle for rapid acceleration by adjusting the suspension and powertrain settings, enabling 0-60 mph sprints in about 3.3 seconds. The 3X also sports its own distinctive 22-inch wheel design.
Every Hummer EV Pickup comes equipped with an extensive array of driver-assist features, consisting of forward collision alert, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and lane-related aids such as lane change alert with side blind-zone alert, rear cross-traffic alert, lane keep assist, and lane departure warning. The system also has trailer side blind-zone alert. In addition, both trims get adaptive cruise control, rear pedestrian alert, a following distance indicator, the Buckle to Drive feature, a Safety Alert Seat (the driver’s seat vibrates for specific safety notifications), HD Surround Vision (surround-view monitor), rear seat reminder, and semi-autonomous parking support. The Hummer EV Pickup is also outfitted with six airbags, anti-lock brakes, stability control, and traction control.
Super Cruise hands-free highway driving technology is standard on both trims and works on 200,000-plus miles of divided highway in the U.S. and Canada. UltraVision is optional as an upgrade to the standard HD Surround Vision. It provides 18 different camera views on the pickup, including the segment’s only underbody front- and rear-facing waterproof cameras, and is especially helpful during off-road driving.
The Hummer EV Pickup features an advanced infotainment system centered around a 13.4-inch touchscreen with integrated Google services. This system supports wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and includes SiriusXM satellite radio and Bluetooth connectivity. Audio is delivered through a 14-speaker Bose sound system. The vehicle also has access to a Wi-Fi hotspot and OnStar.
