Trims and Powertrain

Drivers interested in the 2025 GMC Acadia can choose from three trims: Elevation, AT4, and Denali. As mentioned, their powerplant is a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 328 horsepower. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard with the Elevation and Denali, while all-wheel drive (AWD) is optional and included with the AT4. An eight-speed automatic transmission controls both drivetrains.

The EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings for any FWD Acadia are 20 mpg in city driving and 27 mpg on the highway. With AWD, fuel economy changes to 19 mpg around town and 24 mpg on the open road. The Acadia’s cargo capacity starts at 23.0 cubic feet behind the third row, expanding to 57.3 cubic feet behind the second row and 97.5 cubic feet behind the front seats. It can tow up to 5,000 pounds.

Standard Features

The well-equipped Elevation trim starts the Acadia range with eight-passenger seating, CoreTec leatherette upholstery, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a hands-free power liftgate, tri-zone automatic climate control, an eight-way power driver’s seat (with power lumbar controls), and a six-way power front passenger seat. The Elevation grade also comes with proximity keyless entry, push-button start, an 11-inch driver information display, a Trailering Package (with a Class III hitch, a seven-pin wiring harness, a 220-amp alternator, and a heavy-duty cooling system), rear privacy glass, heated power side mirrors with integrated turn indicators, active noise cancellation, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, rear climate controls, a rear intermittent wiper, remote start, USB ports for each row, wireless device charging, and 18-inch aluminum wheels. The new-for-2025 Elevation Premium Package is optional; it adds seven-passenger seating (the second-row bench seat is replaced with a pair of captain’s chairs), front passenger-seat power lumbar controls, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and 20-inch aluminum wheels.

The AT4 gives the Acadia rugged credentials thanks to an advanced all-wheel-drive system with active torque control, a lifted chassis, a performance suspension, a high-approach front-end design, multi-terrain drive modes, front and underbody skid plates, hill descent control, hill start assist, recovery hooks, and 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires. This mid-tier Acadia also has seven-passenger seating, cloth and CoreTec upholstery, a six-way power front passenger seat (with power lumbar controls), unique exterior treatments, sound-reducing windshield and front-side window glass, roof-mounted side rails, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and chrome-finished front sill plates.

The Denali trades some of the AT4’s ruggedized qualities for luxury appointments. This top-of-the-line Acadia has its seating situation upgraded with perforated leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, a driver’s memory system, heated power-folding and sliding second-row captain’s chairs, and a power-folding third row bench. It also gets a head-up display, genuine wood interior accents, a power tilt-and-telescopic steering column, trim-specific exterior accents, sound-reducing glass, a heated wiper park, rain-sensing windshield wipers, ambient cabin lighting, animated exterior lighting, and 20-inch wheels.

Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology

The 2025 GMC Acadia comes standard with a suite of driver-assist technologies across all trims, including forward collision alert, enhanced automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian and bicycle braking, blind-zone steering assist, rear cross-traffic braking, intersection automatic emergency braking, enhanced lane keep assist, rear pedestrian detection, reverse automatic braking, side bicyclist alert, and adaptive cruise control. Every trim also gets the HD Surround Vision monitor with helpful guidelines, GM’s Safety Alert Seat (the driver’s seat vibrates during certain safety notifications), rear parking sensors, automatic high beams, a following distance indicator, traffic sign recognition, and a rear seat reminder. GMC also offers semi-autonomous parking support and Super Cruise hands-free highway driving for all three trims on an optional basis.

Infotainment and Connectivity

A 15-inch portrait-style infotainment touchscreen is standard issue in the ’25 Acadia, marked by high-resolution graphics and customizable panels. This advanced system comes with Google built-in for ready access to Google Maps, Google Assistant, and other popular apps. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, OnStar services, and Wi-Fi hotspot capability are found on every trim. A 12-speaker Bose system handles the audio, while a 16-speaker Bose arrangement is available for the Denali.
