You’ll start your 2025 Trailblazer selection by choosing one of four trim packages: LS, LT, ACTIV, and RS. They all come with front-wheel drive (FWD) but can be upgraded to all-wheel drive (AWD). The LS and LT have a 137-horsepower turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine, while the ACTIV and RS get a beefier 155-horsepower turbo 1.3-liter three-cylinder unit. The larger engine is standard on the AWD-equipped LS and LT. The FWD Trailblazer gets a continuous variable transmission (CVT), but the gearbox is upgraded to a nine-speed automatic in conjunction with AWD.
There is a potential 25.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the back seats, which expands to 54.4 cubic feet when the second row is folded down. For very light towing, the Trailblazer is capable of pulling up to 1,000 pounds. Fuel economy for the combination of the base engine and FWD, has been determined by the EPA to be 30 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. Add the stronger powertrain, and fuel economy changes to 29 mpg around town and 33 mpg on the open road. The combination of the 1.3-liter turbo engine and AWD yields 26 city/29 highway ratings.
The LS trim focuses on the essentials: fabric upholstery, manual air conditioning, push-button start, a tilt-and-telescopic steering column, an 8-inch driver information display, cruise control, dual USB ports, and 17-inch aluminum wheels. Look for a few extras in the LS, such as LED headlamps with automatic on/off, power side-view mirrors, and a fold-flat front passenger seatback that’s useful for carrying longer or awkwardly sized cargo. The LT dials up the comfort and convenience factor with remote start, heated front seats, rear privacy glass, proximity keyless entry, heated power side mirrors, roof-mounted side rails, and LED daytime running lights.
The ACTIV trim lives up to its name with a custom-tuned suspension, a skid plate, sport terrain tires, upgraded shock absorbers, and titanium chrome-plated front and rear lower fascia. It also gets Evotex leatherette upholstery, a heated steering wheel, an eight-way power driver’s seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, unique exterior treatments, and LED taillights. The RS trades the rugged features of the ACTIV for sportier features, such as Evotex- and fabric-covered seating surfaces, 19-inch aluminum wheels, and exclusive front and rear lower fascia.
As far as optional equipment bundles, the LS Convenience Package will give the base Trailblazer rear privacy glass and remote start. The LT and above can be upgraded with the Convenience Package, containing automatic climate control, wireless device charging, dual second-row USB ports, a 120-volt outlet, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. This option also adds an eight-way power driver’s seat and a power liftgate to the LT, while the RS and ACTIV get a hands-free power liftgate and LED logo projection (puddle lamps). A power panoramic sunroof is optional for the LT, RS, and ACTIV.
All 2025 Trailblazers are equipped with Chevy Safety Assist, a suite of advanced driver assistance features that includes forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, following distance indicator, and automatic high beams. All trims are eligible for blind-spot monitoring with lane change alert, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors, while adaptive cruise control is optional on the LT and above. The Driver Confidence Package (eligibility: LT, RS, and ACTIV) will add rear cross-traffic alert, lane change assist with side blind-zone alert, and rear park assist. All trims also get ten airbags, anti-lock brakes, GM’s Teen Driver system, stability control, traction control, and a rearview monitor.
Front and center in the Trailblazer’s interior is an 11-inch touchscreen for managing these infotainment features: wireless smartphone connection (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, and an audio system with a half-dozen speakers. The RS and ACTIV can be upgraded with a Bose seven-speaker sound system. All trims have access to a subscription-based Wi-Fi hotspot and OnStar/Chevrolet connect services (for emergency assistance, vehicle monitoring, and remote features).
