The 2025 Silverado 1500 is available in nine trims: WT (Work Truck), Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ, ZR2, and High Country. Engine options include the TurboMax 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder (310 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft. of torque), a 5.3-liter V8 (355 hp and 383 lb.-ft.), a 6.2-liter V8 (420 hp and 460 lb.-ft.), and a turbocharged 3.0-liter Duramax Diesel inline-six (305 hp and 495 lb.-ft.).
The model’s drivetrain configurations start with standard rear-wheel drive (RWD) for most trims, with four-wheel drive (4WD) included with the Custom Trail Boss, LT Trail Boss, and ZR2 trims and available on the other trims. The transmission options include an eight-speed automatic for the TurboMax engine and a ten-speed automatic for all other powerplants. Three cab configurations are offered: regular cab (two doors, WT trim only), double cab (full front doors with smaller rear doors), and crew cab (four full-sized doors). The available bed lengths include short (69.9 inches, crew cab only), standard (79.4 inches), and long (98.2 inches, regular cab only). Powertrain and cab configuration availability vary by trim.
The TurboMax four-cylinder delivers 17 to 19 mpg in the city and 18 to 22 mpg on the highway. The 5.3-liter V8 returns 15 to 17 mpg around town and 19 to 21 mpg on the open road. The 6.2-liter V8 offers 14 to 16 mpg in the city and 17 to 20 mpg on the highway. The Duramax Diesel achieves 21 to 24 mpg in the city and 23 to 29 mpg on the highway. Maximum towing capacity reaches 13,300 pounds with the proper equipment, while the payload capacity extends to 2,260 pounds. Fuel efficiency, towing, and payload capabilities vary depending on the engine, drivetrain, cab style, and equipment.
The base WT (Work Truck) trim includes single-zone air conditioning, a 40/20/40 split-folding front bench seat, automatic halogen headlights, vinyl flooring, heated power side mirrors (regular cab), manual tailgate operation, black bumpers, a 3.5-inch driver information display, dual USB ports, and 17-inch steel wheels. The Custom trim adds a ten-way power driver’s seat, a power locking and release tailgate, body-colored bumpers, remote start, cruise control, a trailering package, rear privacy glass, carpeted flooring, a manual-tilt steering wheel, a rear window defogger, an anti-theft system, four USB ports (two per row), and 20-inch aluminum wheels.
The Custom Trail Boss upgrades the Silverado 1500’s off-road capability with a trail-tuned suspension, factory-installed 2-inch lift, monotube shocks, automatic locking rear differential, skid plates, hill descent control, black exterior accents, and 18-inch wheels with mud-terrain tires. The LT adds more premium amenities like heated front seats (driver and outboard passenger), a ten-way power driver’s seat with lumbar support, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 12.3-inch configurable digital instrument cluster, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, LED headlights, an EZ-Lift assist tailgate, a trailer brake controller, chrome bumpers, and 17-inch wheels. The options at this level include front bucket seats and leather upholstery.
The RST has many of the LT’s amenities plus signature LED taillights, LED fog lights, black exterior treatments, body-colored bumpers, and 18-inch aluminum wheels. The LT Trail Boss merges many of the LT’s comfort features with the off-road capability of the Custom Trail Boss, featuring high-gloss black bumpers and additional blacked-out exterior elements.
The LTZ gets a high-capacity suspension introduces luxury with perforated leather-trimmed seats, heated and ventilated power-adjustable (10-way) front seats, a heated steering wheel, a driver’s memory system, a power-operated tailgate, a power tilt-and-telescoping steering column, heated power side mirrors with power-fold, chrome exterior accents, and 20-inch aluminum wheels. The ZR2 focuses on off-road performance, featuring a high-performance suspension with factory lift and Multimatic DSSV dampers, front- and rear-locking differentials, a two-speed terrain-mode transfer case, a spray-on bedliner, aluminum skid plates, exclusive styling elements, and trim-specific 18-inch wheels. Building on the LTZ’s roster of features, the king-of-the-hill High Country is loaded with heated rear outboard seats, a power-sliding rear window, a spray-on bedliner, additional chrome accents, and a trim-specific grille design.
All 2025 Silverado 1500 trims include Chevy Safety Assist as standard equipment, with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, following distance indicator, and automatic high beams. Additional safety features such as rear cross-traffic braking, rear pedestrian alert, front and rear parking sensors, and trailer side blind-zone alert are optional for the WT, LT, RST, and LT Trail Boss trims, while the LTZ, ZR2, and High Country get them standard.
Adaptive cruise control is optional on most trims and included with the High Country. The Safety Alert Seat, which provides safety warnings through seat vibrations, is standard on the LTZ, ZR2, and High Country. A surround-view monitor is optional for the LT, RST, and LT Trail Boss, and included with the ZR2, LTZ, and High Country trims. Super Cruise hands-free highway driving technology is exclusively available with the High Country trim. All trims also receive an array of airbags, anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, and a rearview monitor.
The WT, Custom, and Custom Trail Boss trims have a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, while higher trims are upgraded to a 13.4-inch touchscreen with Google built-in services. Both systems support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth. A seven-speaker Bose audio system is available for the RST and LT Trail Boss trims and comes standard on the LTZ, ZR2, and High Country grades; otherwise, the sound system is unbranded with multiple speakers. SiriusXM satellite radio is standard on most trims but optional on the WT. All trims include Wi-Fi hotspot capability and access to OnStar services and additional connected features.
