Chevrolet offers the 2025 Express Cargo Van in a single trim called WT (Work Truck) and is available in two configurations. The 2500 has a maximum payload capacity of 3,190 to 3,411 pounds (depending on the wheelbase), while the 3500 can handle 4,186 to 4,407 pounds. Both versions are available with a standard 135-inch wheelbase (239.4 cubic feet cargo capacity) or an extended 155-inch wheelbase (283.6 cubic feet cargo capacity). The standard wheelbase has the higher payload capacity.
There are two gas-powered engines. The standard 4.3-liter V6 makes 276 horsepower and 298 lb.-ft. of torque, while the optional 6.6-liter V8 produces 401 horsepower and 464 lb.-ft. of torque. Both powerplants are controlled through an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. A heavy-duty transmission is available.
The 2025 Chevy Express Cargo Van starts with a single-row/two-person seating capacity via vinyl-trimmed bucket seats, but a three-passenger second-row bench is optional. The equipment roster includes air conditioning, power windows and door locks, a swing-out passenger side door, dual-halogen headlights, and rubberized vinyl flooring. It also has heated exterior mirrors, intermittent-operation windshield wipers, an anti-theft system, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a 120-volt power outlet, 12-volt power outlets, a spare tire, and 16-inch steel wheels.
Chevrolet offers a variety of optional features to somewhat customize the vehicle and increase the level of comfort and convenience. Among those elective amenities are remote keyless entry, remote start, rear air conditioning, cruise control, a tilt steering wheel, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a keyless entry keypad. Utility-focused options include heavy-duty trailering equipment and an automatic locking rear differential, both of which enhance the van’s towing and traction capabilities. To boost visibility and accessibility, buyers can add deep-tinted glass, a rear window defogger, rear and side-door windows (as well as full-body window configurations), a digital rearview mirror, auxiliary lighting, and a sliding passenger-side door.
The Chevy Express Cargo Van is set up with numerous standard safety features, including multiple airbags, anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, hill start assist, and a rearview monitor. Advanced driver-assist technologies including forward collision alert, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear parking sensors can be added as options.
The Express Cargo Van has a simplified approach to onboard entertainment through a two-speaker AM/FM stereo system with a digital clock, MP3 playback capability, and an auxiliary media jack. Bluetooth and SiriusXM satellite radio are optional. OnStar Basics comes standard, with expanded subscription services available.
