The E-Ray comes in trim packages called 1LZ, 2LZ, and 3LZ, with each of them offered as either a coupe with a removable roof panel or a hardtop convertible. The hybrid powertrain pairs a mid-mounted LT2 6.2-liter V8 producing a combined 655 horsepower. Power is routed to all four wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The E-Ray’s fuel economy is rated at 16 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway, with a total driving range of 352 miles. The trunk affords 12.5 cubic feet of cargo capacity.
As expected, Chevy equips the E-Ray with an array of performance features, including a magnetic ride control suspension, active handling stability control, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, and a performance exhaust system. Meanwhile, the 1LZ is outfitted with a body-colored removable roof panel (coupe) or a power-retractable hardtop (convertible), eight-way power GT1 bucket seats with Mulan leather upholstery, a 12-inch digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a power tilt/telescopic steering column. It also comes with proximity keyless entry, push-button ignition, remote start, heated power-adjustable exterior mirrors, and staggered-width forged aluminum wheels (20-inch front, 21-inch rear) wrapped in Michelin Pilot all-season run-flat tires.
The mid-tier 2LZ adds heated and ventilated seats with upgraded lumbar and bolster adjustments, a heated steering wheel, memory settings for both front seats, a performance data and video recorder, wireless device charging, and side mirrors with integrated turn signals and power-folding capability. The 3LZ grade introduces GT2 bucket seats featuring Nappa leather with carbon-fiber trim accents. This top-grade trim also boasts leather wrapping for the upper instrument panel, door trim panels, and console cover, complemented by sueded microfiber accents and a steering wheel covered with carbon fiber and leather.
All three E-Ray trims have numerous standard driver-assist systems, including forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian and bicyclist detection, lane-keeping assist with departure warning, following distance indicator, rear parking sensors, and a rearview camera. A set of airbags, anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, and a rearview monitor are standard as well. The 2LZ and 3LZ add blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a front-view camera.
The Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Premium system is the Corvette E-Ray’s technology hub, operating through an 8-inch touchscreen. The standard functionality includes integrated navigation, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM satellite radio. The 1LZ gets a Bose audio system with ten speakers, while the two higher trims upgrade to 14 speakers. Wi-Fi hotspot capability and OnStar services for emergency assistance and vehicle monitoring are included on all E-Ray trims.
