Their release will follow in reverse order, with Edition 1 kicking things off. All of them are built upon GM’s powerful Ultium Platform, which in addition to providing exceptional range of up to 314 miles produces a remarkable 830 hp and 11,500 lb.-ft. of torque with the tri-motor setup. Despite its massive proportions, the ’24 Hummer EV SUV will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (a feat which is usually reserved for lightweight sports cars) in just 3.5 seconds when the Watts To Freedom mode is activated. Like its Hummer EV Pickup sibling, this robust SUV will come standard with four-wheel drive.
Replenishing the ’24 Hummer EV SUV’s power is a versatile and highly efficient process. All trims come with a dual-level charging cord that supports Level 1 and Level 2 charging. With the standard 240V/7.7kW Level 2 charger, the Edition 1 trim is estimated to gain 10 miles per hour and reach 100% charge (from 20%) in approximately 24 hours. Installing the available Ultium PowerUp charger, which boasts an output of up to 11.5kW, allows the Edition 1 to soak up nearly 16 miles of range per hour and go from a 20 percent to 80 percent charge in as little as 16.5 hours.
The Hummer EV SUV is compatible with 800V DC fast charging, allowing it to gain 100 miles’ worth of battery power in just 10 minutes. The vehicle features an in-vehicle energy app, too, which is accessible from the infotainment screen and offers real-time energy usage data, charge status, and even the capability to set charging schedules. The myGMC mobile app provides on-the-go monitoring of the real-time range and charge level as well. As another benefit, the 2024 Hummer EV SUV will house the new 19.2-kW Power Station generator, transforming it into a mobile power hub for running external devices.
