2022 Buick Enclave for Sale in Johnston, RI
Thanks to a refreshed design, the 2022 Buick Enclave now makes an even stronger statement in the premium crossover category. Sleek front and rear fascias give the Enclave a distinctive and modern look without going over the edge. The Avenir trim gets its own special treatment, meaning that this top-tier Enclave will give more expensive competitors a run for their money.
The interior also shows off some contemporary updates with soft-touch materials, a new steering wheel, and a restyled center console featuring an all-new push-button gear selector. Buick has also redesigned the seats for the ultimate comfort, also making leather upholstery standard on all trims. Smartphone connectivity (both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay) and advanced safety technology are now included across the board as well; wireless charging will be available.
Of course, Buick’s flagship continues its traditional blend of plushness and utility, thanks to generous space for seven occupants and their cargo. With 23.6 cubic feet of rear cargo room with all seat rows occupied by passengers and 97.4 cu. ft. of maximum cargo capacity with the second and third rows folded flat, the 2022 Enclave is one of the most spacious vehicles in its class. When it’s properly equipped with the available Trailering Package, the Enclave can tow up to 5,000 pounds.
Trims and Mechanical Basics
The 2022 Buick Enclave comes in three trims: Essence, Premium, and Avenir. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard on all Enclaves, with all-wheel drive (AWD) available. All Enclaves are powered by a 3.6-liter V6 making 310 horsepower and 255 lb.-ft. of torque; a nine-speed automatic transmission completes the powertrain. The EPA has estimated fuel economy for the FWD Enclave at 18 mpg city and 26 mpg highway; with AWD, that dips slightly to 17 city/25 highway.
It’s not every day that you encounter a base trim that’s packed with so many premium features. For the utmost convenience, Buick has equipped the Essence with remote start, automatic LED headlights, heated side mirrors, a hands-free liftgate, roof rails, keyless entry, push-button ignition, power-adjustable front seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with a universal home remote, wireless phone charging, and six USB ports. In the comfort-enhancing department, there’s standard tri-zone automatic climate control, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, and perforated leather upholstery.
The Essence’s infotainment system is certainly top-rate, as it features an 8-inch touchscreen that supports Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Siri Eyes Free, voice recognition, a six-speaker sound system, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and SiriusXM satellite radio. The Essence is also a safety-enhanced vehicle, getting Buick Driver Confidence Plus. This active-safety technology suite includes forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, lane change alert with side blind-zone alert, automatic high beams, a following distance indicator, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist. It also has GM’s Safety Alert Seat, which pulses either left, right, or both to indicate the direction of a potential hazard that might result in a collision.
If that’s not quite enough, Essence buyers can add any of three optional packages. The Sound and Sites Package contains navigation, a 10-speaker Bose sound system, and a 120-volt power outlet, while the Technology Package supplies additional driver aids like adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera system, a rear camera mirror with washer, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and rear pedestrian alert. Last, the Experience Buick Package bundles 20-inch wheels and a moonroof with a fixed rear skylight.
Like the Essence, the Premium is eligible for the Experience Buick Package. This trim also gets the contents of the Sound and Sites Package and most of the features from the Technology Package, minus enhanced automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control, both of which remain optional. On top of that, the Premium has enhanced side mirrors with power-folding, memory, and driver’s side auto-dimming, as well as an 8-inch driver information display, a head-up display, memory for the driver’s seat and power steering column, ventilated front seats, heated second-row outboard seats, and a power third-row bench seat.
The top-of-the-line Avenir receives the moonroof, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control, plus rain-sensing windshield wipers. A real-time damping suspension and Avenir-exclusive LED headlights are part of the optional Avenir Technology Package.
All trims are eligible for splash guards, roof-rack cross rails, a keyless entry keypad, molded assist steps, puddle lamps, all-weather floor mats, and three storage-management add-ons: a retractable cargo shade, a cargo net, and a collapsible cargo organizer.
